Multiplier events
National Multi-Agency Seminar
Bremen, Germany (November 2019) |
The first AWARE multiplier events have been strategically planned to share and get nation-specific feedback on the activities conducted and planned during IO1, IO2 and IO3. AWARE project’s background and objectives will be presented and how the partnership has designed and performed the needs assessment tools being developed on IO2 and IO3.
This event marks a project milestone, where IO1’s phase 1 results and impact can be appraised and presented, namely the cross-cutting knowledge exchange framework. One of the aims of this seminar is to integrate the feedback collected into the effective development of the training methodology and manual of IO4. This event will also have an impact on the development of IO1’s phase 2 and will contribute to identify, engage and connect third sector representatives, practitioners, adult education trainers and professionals, academics and other expert stakeholders across the fields of mental health, CJS and civil society resettlement. Bremen MoJ will host this event. Participants will be introduced to the evolving CoP and will be presented with the results of the parallel assessments of needs. This event will be planned in order to bring together the diverse agencies AWARE aims to build awareness in. By bringing together the expertise of these agencies and getting them to interact in breakout sessions, the potential of problem solving and benefits of adopting a multi-agency integrated approach will be experienced. The event seeks to engage national multi-agency participants and anyone who may be benefit from the AWARE’s results, or who can influence the building of awareness on mental health needs in the criminal justice system and on release. |

National Multi-Agency Training and Integration Seminar
Bremen, Germany (February 2020) |
The final AWARE multiplier events have been strategically planned to share elements of the on- and offline AWARE pilot course, to give hands-on experience of the enlarged transnational network and activities developed on the CoP, and finally to showcase the training manual.
Bremen MoJ will host this event. Equally to previous events, these events will seek to bring together the diverse stakeholders and by integrating each stakeholder’s expertise, illustrate how multi-agency integration leads to improved cooperation and planning for release, and effective communication. These events coincide with AWARE’s milestones and will allow for the project’s results and impacts to be disseminated. AWARE project progress will be reviewed against the initially established objectives and the CoP and knowledge sharing platform results will be presented during hands-on sessions. Moreover, elements of the pilot course will be specifically selected according to its relevance and will allow to illustrate the benefits of using an integrated and multi-agency approach. The Training Manual will also be disseminated in each national seminar. These events will be organised to engage national multiagency participants, but each event will also have some transnational presentations to illustrate to participants that this is a EU-wide issue for which an EU-wide solution must be sought. |
